The Fireflight 5K will takes place annually at the Fireflight Balloon Festival. The event will begin at Citizen Potawatomi Nation Cultural Heritage Center, 1899 Gordon Cooper Drive, Shawnee, OK 74801.
The course
The course is on the grounds of FireLake Golf Course and is mostly flat with a mild incline/decline at the start and finish. The course includes both concrete and grass surfaces.
Participant information
This fun run/walk event is suitable for all paces and ages. All participants will receive a custom race medal and event t-shirt (race t-shirts are not guaranteed for late registrants). All participants will be professionally chip timed and receive an official race finish time. Results will be available on runsignup.com within 48 hours of race finish. Awards will be given for top overall male and female finishers.
For participant safety, strollers are not permitted. All youths 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult while participating. Dogs/animals are not permitted.
First Aid
A First Aid station with bottled water will be available at approximately the midway point on the course, and refreshments will be available at the finish line for participants.
Registration
Registration for the 2024 Fireflight 5K will open in spring 2024. Registration will open first to users of our official mobile app – download it today on Google Play or the App Store.
No refunds will be issued to participants who register for the event but are unable to attend. Please contact the race director to make arrangements to receive packet or medal if desired.
